Witt and Schrodt (2006) tested the relationship between nonverbal immediacy (behaviors that enhance closeness and nonverbal interaction with others) and technology. They tested whether teacher nonverbal immediacy (high, low) in classes with different levels of technology use (none, minimal, moderate, complete) would influence student perceptions of the teacher. They computed a 4 × 2 ANOVA to analyze the data. The table lists the cell means at each level of the two factors.
